Zeta Lambda Zeta Zeta Lambda Zeta was the first French sorority, founded in 2010, and the first sorority created at the University of Montreal. Our values are a big part of who we are, and we take great pride in our diversity, internationality, philanthropy and academic excellence. Being a ZLZ is about being open-minded, engaged, ambitious, but most of all it’s about having a sense of solidarity and sisterhood. We rely on each other and strongly believe that being able to count on one another is the most important thing. Being a student means juggling studies and social life, and our goal is to improve these aspects of each member’s life, all the while having a support system within the sorority… it’s the best way to fully experience your student life! Alpha Epsilon Phi (otherwise known as AEPhi or the Phi’s) was founded on October 24th, 1909 at Barnard College, New York City by seven Jewish women. Even though our colony was only founded in 2017, our sorority is over 100 years old. AEPhi was founded in a time when it was hard for Jewish women to be accepted in other sororites so these seven Jewish women decided to make their own. Although AEPhi is not a religious organization, we are based on Jewish values and have had remarkable women as our sisters, including Ruth Bader Ginsburg, US Supreme Court Justice. Some fun facts: our mascot is the giraffe, our flower is the Lily of the Valley, our colours are green and white and our gem is the pearl. We have two philanthropies: Sharsheret, an organization that helps Jewish women with breast and ovarian cancer, and EGPAF, The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS foundation.
